Bytescout XLS Viewer lets one view and print XLS (Microsoft Excel) documents (spreadsheets) as program based on its own Excel documents reading engine. Microsoft Office Excel is not required.
Pros: Bytescout XLS Viewer allows viewing of Excel spreadsheets and manage printing of the same too. It is based on its own excel reading engine developed for .NET library of the same company for developers.
Cons: The program looks a little unfinished. Row and column names did not appear properly. Also it cut out the display of rows and columns that did not have any data. That is in contrast to typical Excel view, where you expect the grids of the unused rows and columns also to be seen.
On another example the dates in one column, in DD-MMM- YYYY format appeared as strange numbers.
A multi-page work book did not open at all, gave a index related error.
One star is the only possible rating for this application in the current form.
